Properly marketing your website doesn’t have to cost thousands of dollars! Here is a list of four great, inexpensive (even free) ways to market your website and get your name out there.

Four inexpensive forms of online marketing:

  1. Link Building. The most important part to remember about link building is – only link to other sites that are similar to yours. If you offer to link to all sites, your website could turn into a bunch of links instead of valuable information for your visitors. Linking to similar sites also helps raise your website’s popularity and search engine ranking.
  2. Article Marketing. Submitting articles to article distribution websites is a prime way to market your website. Well-written, informational articles show your readers that you understand the topic well and are willing to share your information with them. Just remember, no one likes SPAM! If you have any reservations about writing your own articles, hire someone to write them for you. The influx of visitors you’ll receive is sure to impress you.
  3. Forum or Blog Posting. Add a signature line with a link to your website in all of your forum or blog posts. Getting your name and web address out there is very important!
  4. Email Newsletters. If you already have a base of visitors, an email newsletter once a week is a great way to remind them to come visit you. It is not recommended that you email a newsletter more than once per week, because people consider it junk mail and will remove you from their safe senders list. Don’t annoy the people you want to attract!
